The privacy and security of personal information is very important to 5Buds Cannabis (“5Buds”). 5Buds is accountable for personal information under its control and is committed to protecting and respecting the privacy of personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws. WHY DOES 5BUDS COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION?

- To verify age eligibility (19+) as required under Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) regulations;
- To administer the customer loyalty rewards program, including determining promotional offerings and communicating those offerings to members;
- To communicate with customers about products, services, and promotions (in accordance with CASL – see below);
- To comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including SLGA licensing conditions; and
- To provide individuals with requested information, products, and/or services. (collectively, the “Authorized Purposes”).
The type of information that 5Buds may collect from individuals includes, for example, name, email address, phone number, date of birth, purchase history, and other information individuals choose to provide.
5Buds may collect personal information for other purposes where it has a legal duty or right to do so or where 5Buds has a good faith belief that it is necessary to protect the property or rights of 5Buds.
5Buds does not collect personal information for any other purposes, unless it has the consent of the individual to whom it relates.
HOW DOES 5BUDS COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION?
5Buds only collects personal information about an individual with the individual’s knowledge and consent.
Generally, this means that 5Buds collects personal information directly from the individual to whom it relates, whether via 5Buds’s website, COVA POS system, Springbig loyalty platform, or verbally in person. Occasionally, 5Buds may collect personal information from third party sources, but only with the knowledge and consent of the individual or where otherwise authorized by law.
Visitors to 5Buds’s website should also be aware that anonymous technical information may be collected by 5Buds as a result of a visit to 5Buds’s website. In some cases, 5Buds may share personal information with third party service providers performing functions on 5Buds’s behalf, including, COVA Pos system, Springbig loyalty platform, and PushTechnologies. All personal information is stored in Canada. 5Buds requires that such service providers protect personal information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy.
5Buds may disclose personal information to group benefits provider for employee information, and to government agencies when legally required and after verification.
5Buds does not otherwise use or disclose personal information unless 5Buds has an individual’s consent, 5Buds has a good faith belief that disclosure of the information is necessary to protect the rights or property of 5Buds, or 5Buds has a legal duty or right to do so.
5Buds does not rent, sell or trade customer lists or other personal information.
CONSENT – IS THERE A CHOICE?
Individuals provide their consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information by 5Buds when they provide their information to 5Buds or use its products or services.

HOW DOES 5BUDS PROTECT THE SECURITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION?
5Buds has in place reasonable policies, procedures and safeguards (including physical and technological measures) designed to protect the security of personal information under its control.
The protection of personal information is of paramount concern to 5Buds, and 5Buds is prepared to take appropriate and timely steps in the event of any incidents involving personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including mandatory breach notification requirements.
5Buds makes every reasonable effort to ensure that personal information is accurate and complete. This may involve requesting further information or updates from individuals. 5Buds relies on individuals to notify 5Buds if there is a change to their personal information that may affect their relationship with 5Buds.
5Buds retains personal information only as long as is reasonable to fulfill the purposes for which the information was collected, or for legal or business purposes.
DOES 5BUDS PROVIDE ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION?
5Buds will provide individuals with access to the personal information 5Buds holds about them in accordance with applicable laws. 5Buds reserves the right to require that any request for access to personal information be made in writing. Generally, there is no cost for such access. However, 5Buds reserves the right to charge such costs on a case by case basis in accordance with applicable laws. The individual will be notified in advance if charges apply.
5Buds will correct or amend the personal information in its files where it can be shown that the information is incorrect or incomplete.
